For the first photo of Dave holding the bonaculars in black and white, we took the shot with the light above him to his right shining on this face so that his face was illuminated and you can see a slight shadow behind him. This photo has his entire head and portion of his torso. He is facing slightly away from the camera so we are looking at the side profile of his face. To capture the photograph, I had the camera horizontal and was straight on from a few feet away from the stool he was sitting him. From the lighting shining on his face you get the impression that he looking in the light on a safari. Since he is slightly turned away from the camera you are able to get a slight glimpse of his facial expression, so you can can see the smile on his face showing how he is enjoying his safari and goofing off with the props. I believe this photo is strong because you get a good idea of his personality while he is also slightly hidden with the strong light shining on his face.
