Line and Shape Reflection
When taking the photos I tried to do as many as I could outside because I love the natural light look. So for photos 1,2, 4, 5, 6, I took outside. The first, second, and sixth photo were all taken at one of my away games, and photos 4 and 5 were taken outside at my house. The rest of the photos were taken inside either at the high school or the last photo was taken in my room. For the first photo; I took it from farther away, I didn't zoom in at all to take the picture and I was sitting on the ground. This photograph was a vertical photograph and I tried to consider the rule of thirds. I had the basketball courts as one, then the tennis courts, and the trees as the upper layer. For the second photograph, I was maybe 10 feet away from the dugout and switched the camera to black and white. This was taken straight on and was horizontal. I tried to consider the rule of thirds when taking the picture of the dugout but I don't think it came out as well as I thought it would with the ground then the dugout itself and the upper piece of the dugout being the third piece. For the third photo I was very close up when I took this photograph. When I took this picture I was looking straight-on at the old light switch in the school. This was a horizontal photograph, but I did not consider the rule of thirds when taking this photograph. The fourth photo is a picture of the fence on my deck in my backyard. I thought it had a lot of lines and they guided you through the picture. I was about 5 feet away when I took this picture and was looking straight-on at the fence. This was a vertical photograph, I wanted to capture the whole fence and the flooring of the deck as well. But I did not consider the rule of thirds when taking this picture. This fifth picture is my favorite picture; it is a picture of the base of my crane for my physics project that broke off. With the sun shining behind the crane, the light shines through the openings reflecting the shadow onto the hood of my car. I was very close when taking this picture and took the picture looking slightly above the crane and shadow. This photograph is a horizontal photo, but I did not consider the rule of thirds when I took this picture. This sixth picture is the same as the first picture, the only difference is that this photograph has been edited in photo shop to make it on the gray scale and increase the contrast between the black and white. The next picture, the seventh photograph is also the same as the third picture. This picture was also edited into photo shop, increasing the contrast and putting the photo through a filter to change the effect you get when you see it. The last photo is a picture of the base of the lamp in my room, it is a lifeguard chair. I liked the effect of the overlapping triangles in black and white. I was very close when I took this picture and was looking straight-on at the base of the chair. This was a vertical photograph, but I did not consider the rule of thirds when taking this photograph.
